Werther’s Candy

We were instructed to recreate a package design of our choosing and how fitting these box dimensions would help enhance the brand. More specifically we had to choose a candy or food brand. Werther’s original caramel candy has been one of my favorites since I was a young kid, it’s a classic candy to me. I noticed their bag packaging didn’t represent the importance the company puts on the fact their candy is made of caramel. So I decided to put caramel as the main focus and choose colors that compliment the gold wrapping of the candy. I also took into account that the change from a bag to a box would help with easier storage use and the candy wouldn’t easily fall out. The class sent our package recreations to a package design company and they chose the top 6 designs out of our class of 12 students. Mine came in 5th place.
